                                                               Brew yourself a cup of tea and travel back in time with                                                       me to late nineteenth-century America, when life was                                                     simple yet changing rapidly.

                                                    It was a great time to be alive. Folks were migrating                                                            from farms into  the cities, and the Industrial                                                                        Revolution was in full swing.

                                                     Train tracks were being laid all over the country. It                                                              was  possible to travel up to sixty-five miles per hour,

                                                      a breathtaking speed when compared to the horse

and carriage normally used for transportation.  Trains opened up possibilities for travel that never existed before.

The invention of the telephone was another life changer. In the 1880’s, almost 49,000 telephones were in use. That number rose to 600,000 by the end of the century. It was much more efficient to conduct business by telephone, so prosperity was on the rise.

Sad to say, crime also rose. Our characters will be the targets of plenty of crime before the end of the story. But hold on! Things happen for a reason.

You’ll identify with our protagonists as they mature in their character and their faith. They will experience one trial after another, culminating in the biggest trial of all. You’ll find yourself cheering for them all the way.
